Jeff Wardlaw
Associate Head Coach / Head Recruiting Coordinator
Wardlaw will be responsible for day to day operations of both programs, will take on the lead as head recruiting coordinator, and will assist in the coaching aspects on the field. Wardlaw and head coach Brian McMahon have previously spent the last 5 seasons coaching together and have amassed a record of 125 wins to only 59 losses during their tenure together. McMahon and Wardlaw now both will have the opportunity to continue on sharing coaching responsibilities focusing on different aspects of the program.
Wardlaw spent five years as assistant men's and women's soccer coach at Greenville College from 2005-08 and has coached in the club, high school, and collegiate settings.
As a player, Wardlaw has competed in national championships with Team KC, a premier club in the Kansas City area. He also competed at Cumberland College, in Williamsburg, Ky., where he was a captain and received all-conference honors.
Wardlaw graduated from Mid-America Nazarene University in 2000 with a bachelor of arts in psychology. After graduation, Wardlaw worked as supervisor and team leader at TLC for Children and Families, a boys' and girls' home in Olathe, Kan. He completed his master of arts in teaching at Greenville College in 2008.
Jon Fields
Assistant Soccer Coach / Strength & Conditioning Coordinator
Jon Fields is entering his second season as assistant men's and women's soccer coach and at Greenville College. Now his 4th year of coaching, Fields has coached at club, high school, and collegiate settings.
Fields has also taken on a new role for the programs stepping in as the Strength and Conditioning coach as well as assistant coach. Within that role, players will receive an intense program that will not only prepare them physically for the season but mentally as well. He will also work with training the goalkeepers and the defenders to solidify the back lines for both programs.
As a player, Fields experienced success at Greenville College competing in two conference tournament championship matches as well as four NCCAA Division I Regional’s. Fields shined as a defender who, over his career at Greenville, received All-Conference, NCCAA All-Region, and NCCAA All-American honors. From 2003-2006, Fields helped lead his team to four winning season records, lead the nation with lowest goals against average at 0.64, and was ranked as high as 6th in the nation in the NCCAA.
Prior to coaching at Greenville, Fields worked as a Program Director for the Grant County Family YMCA in Marion, IN. In that role, he was in charge of managing all the sports programs throughout the facility working with children as young as kindergarteners to adults. Fields was the Head Boys Soccer Coach of Oak Hill High School (Marion, IN) in 2008 where he led his team to a 14-3 record. He also coached for the Marion Lightning Premiere Club (Marion, IN) working with U10-U13 ages.
Fields is a 2007 graduate of Greenville College, completed a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and is currently working on his masters of arts in teaching at Greenville College.

Dr. Robert Johnson
Assistant Soccer Coach
Dr. Robert Johnson has served as an assistant coach in men's soccer and track and field since 2001. He returned to Greenville College as the head cross country and track and field coach in 1987 and has also spent eight years as head women's soccer coach. As assistant track and field coach, he has directed his attention to the hurdles and pole vault. In 2008 and 2009, Johnson coached national champions in the 110 hurdles at the NCAA Division III national championships. With his vast knowledge and attention to technique, he has assisted in many areas and is often seen working with our javelin throwers. A Greenville graduate who played for the men's soccer program, "Dr. J," as he is affectionately known, is an exercise physiologist who also serves as a professor in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department.
